About the artist

Vicki Green

In 2013 I officially retired from my career in the high technology industry. During my working years I found that exploration with glass helped keep my life in balance.  Now I love spending most of my days in my studio.

My glass work started with stained glass over 35 years ago.  I took a class at a local studio and was hooked. In 2004 I traveled to Italy and after watching glass masters create spectacular art and visiting fabulous glass galleries I returned and learned the art of kiln-formed, also called fused glass.

My work consists of functional pieces, for display pieces and a collection of whimsical yard art.

Artist Statement:

My glass artwork continually evolves and often expresses my interpretation of elements of nature, life experiences, and textiles

I find myself exploring gradient lines, shadows and depth which are attained through multiple processes and constant experimentation.
